Downstream Users of Chemicals Coordination Group - DUCC
Mission Statement
The Downstream Users of Chemicals Co-ordination Group (DUCC) is a platform of 11 European associations which represent “downstream” industries ranging from cosmetics and detergents to aerosols, paints, inks, toners, pressroom chemicals, adhesives and sealants, construction chemicals, fragrances, lubricants, crop protection and chemical distributors industries.
The group's main objective is to contribute, with a common voice, to the successful implementation of the requirements of chemicals legislation.

Our campaign pledge
DUCC wishes to engage to make information on safe handling of chemicals more accessible and understandable for professional workers. In this context we plan to leverage digital tools, and create an online platform at EU level that could provide information to professionals on:
1) Supporting self-employed professionals to achieve a similar level of protection as employed professionals
2) Serving as the proof of training for safe use of chemicals as defined in REACH
3) Providing a training source for those professionals with no/limited access to training otherwise.
4) Providing skills on sustainable and durable solutions to professionals in support of the green transition
5) Supporting employers in giving the mandatory Occupational Safety and Health training for employees

Committed to Safe and Sustainable Mixtures, DUCC – representing 11 European associations – has a longstanding reputation of collaborative projects targeting the safe handling of chemicals (e.g. downstream users’ use maps.)
DUCC will continue its work to make information on safe handling of chemicals more accessible and understandable for professional workers. For the 2023-2025 EU OSHA campaign DUCC will leverage digital tools to build an EU platform for professionals training.
